How To Backup a PC to a Acronis image

Requirements:

A USB with Acronis TrueImage 2024 copied to it

A External SSD to back the image up too

 

If you don’t have a USB with Acronis TrueImage 2024 on it use a tool like Rufus to copy the ISO to a USB drive to make a bootable USB the ISO is located at the following file path ("Z:\ISOs\Acronis")

 

First turn off the PC you want to take an image of and plug in the External SSD and the USB with Acronis on it into two free USB ports.

 

Then boot into the USB from the PCs boot menu

 

 It should then give you some options on what to boot into select the number next to the option Acronis True Image 64bit

 

 

The interface below should now open click on the top option (Back Up)

 

 Then click on the top option (Disk and Partition Backup)

 

 


Then in this windows select the Drive of the PC you want to back up (Make sure all tick boxes are ticked on the drive you are backing up)

 

 



 

After they are selected click on Next at the bottom

 

Then this window should now show up make sure the top check box is ticked like in the image below then click on browse

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 










Once that has been clicked onto it should bring up a file explorer browse to the drive you want the image saved to and the file a name should be the PC name of the PC you are backing up and a date you are taking this backup in brackets please note you may need to add the .tibx after the name.


 

 

After that click on ok and the window below should pop up click on Executer at the bottom this should then start the back up process

 

 



After the back has been made copy the tibx file to Z:\Acronis Backup Files
